Is there a reason folks are using waterjet cutting as opposed to CNC plasma cutting?

I believe the edges of the waterjet-cut pieces are much smoother. If you are willing to use an angle grinder, it would probably work fine. Since I have not tried the laser cutting, I cannot say how much work would be involved.
For any piece where a bearing gets pressed inside, I would go waterjet-cut.
I've found that MarZee is very reasonable.
