Here's a pic of the e-meter that I'll be using. You can buy it here; ebike.ca/store/store_accessories.phpThe minimal shunt settings for this device is 0.078mOhms, so a 500amp/50mV shunt will be used with it. The Rshunt value in this device will be set at 0.10mOhms and it should work. (thanks Justin for that info) The plan is to use it temporarily, then once the computer gets installed, see if I can use the computer for the 'fuel-gauge' calculations. That way, I can choose how and where the battery gauge will be. The device can be connected (red/power wire from device) to the battery side of the main contactor. This means the device will always be on, but it also means that it will include the power consumption (amps used) for the DC to DC converter as well as the controller/motor. Since I want to measure the total power consumed, this is where I will attach the wiring.
