Headway batteries are a small cylinder type Lifepo battery with a cont. discharge rate of 5C and can discharge to 10C for 20 seconds. They are 5.75" long and 1.5" diam. rated at 10Ah for $17. The have a screw terminal on each end so they can be assembled in series with the right size all thread and have a power density of 104w/Kg (TS and SE batteries have a power density of 85w/Kg) so a 144v 80Ah pack (good for ~60mi @60mph) would weigh 111Kg (244lbs). With a 750 amp controller and a Warp 9 motor you could get 160 ft/lbs of torque to ~3000rpm. You would need some good air cooling to the motor for that. www.evcomponents.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=38120S

Those specs aren't too bad at all, but more research needs to be done.
Is it reported how many cycles (charge/discharge) this has?
It just seems too good to be true. The BMI batts are similiar, but cost over 10 times that.
