Seems like the only thing that people are interested in is the Zilla.
Guess I'll keep it together for now and keep enjoying it. Maybe I get some time to tweak it some more. Worst case, it will hibernate in storage.

Kinda sad day. Maybe "bitter sweet" is more like it. A buyer came forth for the trike's batteries. Put down a deposit too, so I know he is serious. I plan on taking it out one last time this Saturday. Pretty fitting as it's my birthday. The cells will then get removed and put into their original crates. The rest of the trike is under consideration already. Should go fast. Once gone, any remaining EV stuff will get sold to the highest bidder. I hope my trike will provide good hopes and dreams to the new owner, as it did for me. It was once a corvette, then a trike...what comes next? Probably more time with my young little boy.

Happy b-day to me. I rode the trike one last time today for about 5 miles. Did some nice 3rd gear burnouts both rolling and at a standstill. 2nd gear is not needed. No burnouts in 4th, but good acceleration from a standstill and awesome acceleration once rolling. Very sad that no one else wanted to continue the project. Pity. Well, I learned alot and had some good times with it.
The batteries are charging now. This evening, I'll start removing them and crating them up. The buyer comes Oct.3rd.
The rest of the vehicle will get parted out then. Someone may buy the chassis very soon. If so, I'll have to strip off the remaining parts ASAP.

Battery pack was sold today. The short-lived life blood of the trike.
The chassis has been stripped of its EV components and will now get parted out.

Heading out soon. My XR3 chassis is awaiting shipment. Shipper could come anytime now. Kinda sad. This was the most technical and complex item I have ever built. Had every bit of the performance that I hoped, envisioned, and actually calculated. I learned so much from this project, and it spun off some nice dreams and adventures. With it's sale, I was able to secure the needed components to my gaming thingypit. May my XR3 be reborn as another pastime. (before, it was my custom corvette) I hope it goes to a good home. Good luck to Paul, Joey, and now Mike, and all the other XR3 builders out there. Rest easier knowing that the quickest XR3 has had its entire powerplant removed and parted out. farewell.

The chapter on my XR3 is now closed. The shipper just drove away with it. I hope that Mike has fun with it. Attachments:
